Hello! My name is Abigail. I first became interested in birth work after the birth of my first son when I saw the need for compassionate care which informed mothers of ALL their options and respected their decisions. This led me to be trained as a doula and to begin my midwifery training. In January of 2015, my family and I moved to Davao City, Philippines to train and serve at a birth center there. Upon finishing my practical training in June 2017, I did a one month internship with a home birth midwife near Seattle, Washington. I have now finished my degree with National College of Midwifery and have passed my NARM exam. These were truly life changing experiences, and solidified my desire to serve mamas and babies in their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period. I also have five sons. Two were born in the hospital, and three were born at home. While I will not be working as a midwife in Nebraska, I would love to serve you as your birth or postpartum doula!

Hello! My name is Mindy. I am a wife to Jim, mom to Abby and Ally and grandma to 8 grandchildren. I began my involvement with women giving birth a few years back as I met women in my church who were in need of support. Then later as my daughter was beginning her family we began doing some research into resources that were available to women in the area and found it to be severely lacking. It was when my daughter was then expecting her second child that I first learned about Doulas. I attended a DONA workshop in April 2013. In May 2015 I continued my education by attending an ICEA Childbirth Education training. My Bachelors degree is in Social Work. I find much of my work to support, educate and empower women in their birth experience to be similar to my work experiences as a social worker. Helping a mother bring a new precious life into this world is an awesome and exciting miracle to witness and I love every second!
